Fees

Below are the current (2026) fees and referral processes for the services we provide.

Our fees are based on recommendations set by the Australian Psychological Society (APS). The 2025/2026 recommended rate suggested by the APS for a 50 minute Clinical Psychology session is $318, however our fee still sits well below this.

If you have a valid referral, you are entitled to a medicare rebate for up to 10 sessions per calendar year. The Medicare rebate for a 50 min Clinical Psychology appointment is currently $145.25.

Alternatively, you may be able to claim a rebate through your private health fund (depending on your level of cover), but you will need to confirm this with them.

As we are a private billing practice, the full fee is payable on the day of your appointment. If you have a valid referral we will process your Medicare rebate on the day of your appointment.

Payment can be made via eftpos or credit card.

As a solo practitioner, I am unable to offer bulk-billing. However, if you are experiencing financial hardship or are a full-time tertiary student, please let me know prior to booking in, as I may be able to offer a reduced fee.

Referrals.

You do not need a referral from a Medical Practitioner to access Psychology Sessions.

However, if you would like to claim a rebate from Medicare you will need a current GP or Psychiatrist referral and a Mental Health Treatment Plan.

Steps to getting a GP referral:

  1. You will generally need to book in a mental health appointment with your GP and request a mental health treatment plan and referral to a Psychologist.

  2. Your GP will then complete a brief assessment, and complete your mental health treatment plan.

  3. GP will then provide a referral letter for you. Please ensure that this is signed by your GP.

  4. Your GP can email this to us directly or give you a paper copy and you can email it to us at least 48 hrs prior to your first appointment.

We accept Department of Veterans affairs (DVA) clients. There is no out of pocket expense for these sessions if you are a DVA white or gold card holder. You will need a referral from your medical practitioner or specialist and a Mental Health Care Plan to access these sessions.

If you are a Medical Practitioner and would like to refer your patient to us, please send it through to our email address.

Cancellation Policy.

Please be mindful of this policy when booking your appointment. If in the event you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please do so 48 hours prior to your scheduled appointment.

We know this is not always possible in genuine emergencies or sudden illness etc. More notice simply means that we can offer the appointment to another client who might be on our waitlist.

If you cancel or request to reschedule 24 hrs prior, you may be required to pay a late cancellation fee which is 50% of the full fee ($130). If you fail to attend your appointment (No-show) or cancel within 24 hr of your appointment, you may be required to pay the full fee ($275).

Emergencies.

We are unable to offer a crisis service or intervention. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, or experiencing a family or domestic violence situation you can contact lifeline (13 11 14), 1800Respect (1800 737 732), Beyond Blue, your GP, or visit your nearest emergency department.
